Father's Day Special: Six Pack Holder
As we develop workshop ideas, we often look to the calendar for inspiration, and with Father's Day coming up, we thought we'd design a craft with the dads in mind. Our husbands enjoy a beer almost as much as we do, so we thought we'd put together a six-pack holder that dads can make with the kids, dads can make for themselves, or you can make for the dad in your life.
We've been wanting to make one of these for awhile, using leather, of course. It's one of our favorite media. We threw in some rivets, a couple screws, and we had a fun project that even kids can do, with a little hand holding, of course. Using a hammer, a rivet setter, and a drill, kids and grown-ups alike will have the opportunity to use lots of tools in the construction process.
Because we always love to customize, you'll also have the choice to stain the board to which all this beautiful Kentucky leather will be attached. And when you're done, add a Made at Maker Practice sticker to sign and date your art, letting dad know you made this just for him, or to remind him of how you made it together.
At the end of the craft project, that's what it's all about: making things with people you love, for people you love. We are always happy to facilitate that process; it's a big part of our why.
Happy Making! Amy
